Dan and I have several friends and relatives who are serious musicians with no business savvy. We also happen to be music lovers with over 40 years combined experience in many successful business endeavors. That prompted them to come to us for business advice, seeking out our marketing, management and business expertise.

We began to look for specific answers to specific questions on their behalf by researching the Music Industry, and soon discovered that the Music Industry is much like Industry at large. We knew that we could apply our experience and knowledge to the music industry issues presented to us by our friends.

Then we realized that these same issues we were researching for our friends and relatives are likely encountered by countless others. So we decided to create a resource that would foster the spirit of commerce in musicians and artists.
